In 1987 Pam and Bob Mudek were raising young children when they ventured into business. Leveraging Bob’s installing experience and his attention to detail, they combined Pam’s eye for design and business organization to establish Mudek Flooring, Inc.
Almost 40 years later they’re the Duluth and Cloquet area's industry leaders in residential and commercial flooring, countertops, backsplashes, and cabinet design.
Today, the kids are grown, and son Riley is now continuing the legacy in partnership with Bob and Pam, helping countless customers transform homes and offices into comfortable, functional, and inviting spaces.
As a family business, they maintain high ethical standards and have become an example of how hard work, integrity and the satisfaction of a job well done serves clients, community, and family. As Bob puts it, “Our primary focus is serving our clients and getting the job done the right way, not the easy way. It’s the work ethic that’s become our way of life.”

Our Team
Co-Founder & Lead Designer
Pam Mudek
Pam co-founded Mudek Flooring in 1987 with her husband, Bob, and has shaped the business with her passion for design and commitment to clients ever since. As Lead Designer, she takes pride in helping clients bring their vision to life through quality products, creative solutions, and thoughtful design. With 40 years of experience, Pam has built lasting relationships—many clients have become lifelong friends—and she still loves welcoming them back to the showroom for their next project.
When she’s not designing beautiful spaces, Pam enjoys traveling, the outdoors, spending time at the lake, and making memories with her family: husband Bob, three children, grandchildren, and four beloved “grand-dogs.”
Partner / Installation Lead
Riley Mudek
Riley grew up in the family business, learning the trade from a young age firsthand from Bob and Pam.
With over 15 years of installation experience, he now carries their legacy forward, managing all installations and working alongside Keyan to ensure every project meets the highest standards. Clients trust him for his deep expertise and tireless work ethic.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business, Riley earned his degree in Accounting in 2016.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys cycling on the area’s many trails and spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their husky, Rey.
Sales / Marketing
Mac Ryks
Working alongside Pam in the showroom, Mac helps clients bring their vision to life with flooring, tile, countertops, and cabinetry. He especially enjoys building lasting relationships and finding creative solutions to the flooring challenges homeowners and businesses face.
A 2015 graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Curtis L. Carlson School of Management, Mac holds degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management.
Outside the showroom, Mac enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelsey, chasing after their energetic 3-year-old daughter, Palmer, spending time with their golden retriever, Ike, and playing Minnesota’s fantastic golf courses.
